So for our next big adventure we are heading south of the boarder… Penney has been asked to facilitate a tech workshop for the Atlanta NACTA Chapter but not in Atlanta, no we are going to the Club Med resort in Cancun Mexico! Penney & I fly to Atlanta to meet up with the majority of the agents, and on to Cancun where we are transported to the resort.
Our rooms are very spacious, with lovely views of the ocean. Cannot wait to get out there in the sunshine and enjoy some pool time. But first, where is the food? You know, we caught a 5:45am flight and it is after 1pm, and the airlines serve such good food these days…. NOT! More later.
Over the past couple of days we have really enjoyed all that the Club Med has to offer, here are some pictures to show you how lovely it is.
I was going to write a review of our time in Cancun, but Judy Duke & Donnie Titus wrote the below which sums it up very nicely…
The Atlanta Nacta Chapter recently returned from a 3 night fam to Club Med Cancun.
We had 17 members attending. Our chapter was hosted by Trish Noa, Business Development Manager for Club Med. The resort is located a short 10 minute ride from
Cancun airport is situated on a beautiful crescent-shaped beach. There are a great many activities to keep you busy including water sports, snorkeling, diving, water skiing, tennis, pool and relaxing on the beach. One of our members even tried the high trapeze bars!
The resort is great for families and offer age-appropriate kids programs.
Carmelo, the groups manager, conducted the site inspection of the entire property. We saw the various categories of rooms, the two alternative dining venues, and the new Jade, the concierge accommodations. The Jade features beautiful suites with a very large bathroom, room service, a private pool for Jade occupants, all rooms have a beach/water view.
Trish Noa presented a power point presentation on all the Club Med properties around the world. She gave the selling points of each resort and how to match the resort with your client. Remember to recommend Club Med for your pre/post client for a few relaxing days.
Penney Rudicil "the Gadget Girl" presented a session on Tech Tips. She spoke on the newest innovations in technology, presented all the new gadgets and accessories. Penney spoke about the power of social media and gave the newest information about Facebook and how to use to reach your client. A most informative 4 hour in-depth class. Our group learned much valuable information.
In the evenings, Trish treated our group to the alternative dining options for dinner. One night, we all enjoyed the Steak House on the porch with the sound of the ocean in the background. The next night was Mexican in the open-air Mexican Restaurant. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are also served buffet style in the main restaurant.
A short and very busy 3 days spent in the wonderful Club Med Cancun. A beautiful resort to recommend and sell to your clients! A great big "Thank You" to Club Med and Trish Noa...we all enjoyed your Mexican hospitality!
Respectfully submitted,
Judy and Donnie
